Andre Ayew has been one of Ghana's most significant players throughout the years, but the former mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly thinks the 32-year-old would be prudent to announce his retirement.
"Considering Dede Ayew's accomplishments for the nation since joining the National Team, he has really done well for the nation.
The nation should give him a good testimonial or goodbye game to retire him and avoid holding him responsible for the penalty miss because, in all honesty, he is frail [not in the best shape] right now. The next generation will be impacted if we carry on with this attack.
He told Akoma FM, "We have a good team; we should settle down and avoid the needless insults we dump on them."
Since being given the captain's armband in 2019, Andre Ayew has led the Black Stars to three significant tournaments.
Additionally, in 2009, the ex-Swansea City player guided the Black Satellites to their first FIFA U-20 World Cup victory. He has participated in 113 games and currently has 10 goals, making him Ghana's leading scorer in AFCON history.
