As participants step up their game in preparation for a final confrontation between the top four contestants, Tiah, Herby, Too Spyce, and Markel, on December 17 at the National Theatre, the ongoing TV3 Mentor season, called Mentor XI, has continued to deliver pleasant surprises.
The winner receives 40,000 GHC in cash, a gold-plated trophy, a round-trip international ticket with $500 (USD) in spending money, 100,000 GHC in airtime, sponsors' products, and of course the bragging rights and street cred that come with developing from an undeveloped talent to becoming the MENTOR XI WINNER.
SEMI-FINALS OF MENTOR XI
Too Spyce, Markel, Tiah, and Herby advanced to the Mentor XI finals after the intensely competitive semi-final episode of the show.
Brenda and Kwaku Wina were eliminated from the competition, and Too Spyce was declared the competition's standout performer and best-dressed.
The TV3 Mentor XI semi-finals took place last weekend, on December 4, and saw contestants compete against one another using their distinctive performances and stagecraft.

The contenders were pitted against one another on stage during a live performance for the first three battles of the semi-final program. Tiah and Brenda each chose a song, and Tiah challenged Brenda while singing Whitney Houston's "I got nothing" and Brenda while singing Simi's smash single "Joromi."
On stage, Too Spyce engaged in a live duel with Kweku Wina while covering the song "Yaa nom" from Obrafour's debut studio album, "Pae mu ka," which was published in 1999. Kweku Wina chose and performed the 2012 hip-hop track "Heeba" by Edem.
Herby and Marckel engaged in the night's last combat. Herby played Tarrus Riley's 2006 hit reggae song "She's Royal" while Marckel delivered his own rendition of Nigerian singer Asa's 2007 smash song "Jailor."
The live studio audience, judges, and viewers all over the world were treated to performances during the freestyle round that transported them back in time to songs like "Boga Boga" by Ghanaian rap legend Sarkodie, "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley, and "Listen" by Beyonce. Stonebwoy's "Hero" brought them right up to date with the year 2017 as well.
