Many people were shocked when Ghanaian comedian SDK Dele announced the death of his mother this morning because he had only recently started working again following the death of his father last year.
In November 2021, SDK lost his father. This was followed by a break and a huge comeback that completely changed the food content industry.His mother and father were both prominent characters in many of his comedic skits and have evolved into role models for good parent-child interactions.In an interview with Delay, SDK disclosed that his father was suffering from constant seizures and that his mother was confined to a bed.
His admission that he had asked his father to pass away in order to ease his load and his father's suffering caused the interview to take an unexpectedly controversial turn.
He confirmed his mother's passing today on his official Twitter profile. Without providing further details, he simply uploaded a photo with the statement, "Lost my beloved mum.... Mama, rest in peace.
