The two-year contract of Ghanaian captain Andre Ayew has been terminated, according to Qatari powerhouse Al Sadd, with five months remaining on the deal.
On Sunday afternoon, the record Qatar champions made the decision public via a social media statement.
Al-Sadd SC announced on Twitter that it has reached an understanding with Andre Ayew to end their relationship amicably.The decision has not been explained, but there are rumors that it may open the door for a transfer to rivals Al Rayyan.
Less than two years after signing with the Gulf club as a free agent in July 2021, the 33-year-old midfielder departs.
