Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin, the host of GhanAkoma on Akoma FM, has been named by Floodlight Media Excellence Awards as the best morning show host in the Ashanti Region for the year 2022.
The GhanAkoma current events and political program on Akoma FM was recognized by the award program as the Best Morning Show Program of the Year. As a result of having the best morning show host and the best morning show for the year under review, Akoma FM effectively won two trophies.
Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin has now received the prestigious prize twice in a row. He triumphed both last year and this year.
In a close contest, GhanAkoma, which has only been running for two years, was named the finest political and current affairs morning program in the garden city and beyond, with the public having a 70 percent voting privilege and the Award academy having a 30 percent vote.
Augustine Acquah, CEO of Floodlight Media Excellence Award, stated during his opening remarks that the prize was given in honor of the program's "service to Ghana's broadcast media for sustained national and socioeconomic development."
Kofi Asante now has even more awards to his name after being named the RTP 2022 Awards' Radio Personality of the Year.On April 4, 2021, the inaugural Floodlight Media Excellence Award presented him with an honorary award. He had previously won the overall Best Morning Show Host in the Ashanti Region at the 2020 Africa Quality Awards.
