Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa I, the Overlord of the Gonja State, passed away at his castle at Damongo in the Savanna Region at the crack of dawn on Saturday, February 4, 2023.
In March 2010, the late Yagbonwura Tuntumba was installed as ruler of the Gonja kingdom.
He was conceived in the early 1930s by Yapeiwura Bakari, the daughter of Yagbonwura Mahama of Kusawgu, and Mma Nyenbali Chiraba.
Due to the fact that his father, Yapeiwura Bakari, had more than eleven wives, Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa I was the thirty-first in line among his siblings because he was only older than three of his siblings.Sulemana of late Tuntumba Boresah I was a chief who valued growth, loved peace, and brought people together.
He will be noted for having petitioned for the Savannah region on behalf of the Gonja state.
