Parliament summons Health Minister over cause of vaccine shortage in Ghana

In order to discuss the reasons behind Ghana's vaccine deficit, the Health Committee has called on Minister of Health Kwaku Agyeman Manu to testify.

Recently, there have been shortages of vaccines in several areas of the nation.

It is also respected for the health minister to outline the solutions that have been implemented.

"I have the direction of the Chairman of the Committee on Health to invite you to an emergency meeting to brief the Committee on the cause of the vaccine shortage in Ghana and the measures being put in place to address the situation, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the Committee Rooms 1&2, New Administration Block, Parliament House," the Clerk of Parliament's Health Committee wrote in a letter to the Health Minister.

The Ghana Health Service, the National Health Insurance Authority, the Global Fund, the Ministry of Finance, and the Vaccination Control Program are among the organizations whose leaders the committee also demands be present.
