On Friday night, the first leg of Algeria and Ghana's U23 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying round ended in a 1-1 draw.
Both teams played well in the encounter, which took place at the Stadium 19 Mai 1956 in Annaba, Algeria, and set up an exciting return leg in Kumasi.
With a spectacular long-range shot in the second half, Fatawu Issahaku gave Ghana the lead. The Algerian goalkeeper was off his line when the midfielder picked up the ball in his own half and unleashed a thunderous shot that flew over his head and into the goal. It was a magnificent goal that put Ghana ahead.
Algeria did, however, adapt well to falling behind .
