The Minority requested the administration to implement significant expenditure cutbacks during that day's debate in Parliament in order to address the economic issues.
Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu claimed that if the administration does not reduce expenditure, part of the government's tax revenues might suffer.
"This group's demand is that there must be significant spending cuts; otherwise, part of your tax revenues would suffer at your hands. We shouldn't give him, for example, the GHS1.4 billion allocated to the contingency vote, he said.
According to the majority leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, "Some roads have begun; the intention is to guarantee that they don't deteriorate, they are not left unattended to."
