Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, a former minister of communications under John Mahama, has made hints that the former president will formally state his position on the NDC's flagbearership for the election of 2024.
He said that the former president made this declaration during a meeting in London with Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as well as certain executives and NDC members from the UK and Ireland.
President John Dramani Mahama says in London that "I will reveal my political future next month," according to Dr. Omane Boamah's Facebook post.
In London for several foreign activities is the former president. On Friday, January 27, 2023, he delivered a talk at Chatham House titled "Africa's Strategic Priorities and Global Role," in which he was upbeat about the future of Ghana and Africa as a whole.
