At a brief ceremony in Ho, the capital of the Volta Regional, the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) signed a sponsorship agreement with Adonai Estate Limited to become its official headline sponsor for the 2022/2023 league season.
For the first time, the Regional FA's premier league in the area has a headline sponsor.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the two organizations to formalize the ground-breaking agreement for GHC 25,000.00.
For the 2022/2023 league season, the Volta FA announced that "the Division Two League will henceforth be known as Adonai Volta Division Two League."
According to Regional FA Chairman Daniel Agbogah, 60% of the sponsorship agreement will go toward helping Division Two clubs in the area pay for officials' salaries.
He praised Adonai Estate for their historic connection and pledged to use football to safeguard the real estate firm's reputation.
The Regional FA chairman is optimistic that the collaboration would draw in additional prospective sponsors.
"With the consideration of Regional Football Associations, we are here today creating history for our area, if not the entire nation. In order to persuade more sponsors, we look forward to making sure that the corporate image of Adonai is safeguarded in the collaboration, Mr. Agbogah stated.
"I thank Adonai Estate Limited for allowing us to use its facilities so that we could achieve this designation on behalf of the Executive Council and all RFA stakeholders. We are appreciative of this historical occasion. We really do mean it when we declare that we want to use football to make Volta a model region. And we are aware that in order to actualize the ideal, everyone—including the business society—will need to work together.
Rev. Dr. Bright Adonai, CEO of Adonai Estate Limited, expressed his enthusiasm for the transaction. The business "takes key interest in the development of the kids," he said.
The regional league was observed by Mr. Bright Adonai during the previous season, and he is confident that if the league is supported, the region would advance in the football industry.
"I'm thrilled to be working with the RFA. I enjoy watching football, and I did so during the most recent season. When everyone pitches in, I really believe we can help the Division develop.
"The League was bursting with potential, and I was astounded by the caliber of play these young players were putting on. Adonai Estate is a business that supports and promotes youth development.
Mr. Bright Adonai remarked, "I am glad we are on board to assist propel the region forward."
In Ho and other areas of the nation, Adonai Estate Ltd., a registered real estate company, sells uncontested lands for commercial and residential use.
The Adonai Estate Airport Golf Metropolis, to be built by the firm adjacent to Ho in the Volta Region, will be the largest city there.
Over 3000 people regularly use Adonai Estate, and they have bought over 4500 of our land plots.
The Volta Regional Division Two League is scheduled to begin play at several game centers throughout the area on February 10, 2023, following the league's inauguration on February 3, 2023.
