Kamaldeen Sulemana, a winger for the Black Stars, selected Southampton over rival Premier League team Everton.
Stade Rennais, a French Ligue 1 team, accepted offers from both clubs, but he chose to go to the South Coast club over the Toffees.
For an alleged €25 million, Kamaldeen Sulemana is moving to Southampton.
According to L'Equipe, Kamaldeen picked the Saints over Everton.The 20-year-old speedster will sign a four-and-a-half-year contract worth an estimated €25 million plus €5 million in add-ons.
Prior to the closing of the agreement before the January transfer window closes later today, Southampton has booked medicals.
Southampton wants to seal the deal as soon as possible, thus the medical is anticipated to take place in France.
After moving from Nordsjaelland to Rennes in 2021, the 20-year-old found it difficult to earn consistent playing time for the Ligue 1 squad. He has only scored five goals in 33 games.
