Mark Magsayo ordered to fight Isaac Dogboe

The deadline for a fight agreement between Filipino featherweight Jessel Mark Magsayo and Ghanaian Isaac Dogboe is the end of January, after which time purse bids will be called.

By January 31st, the featherweight boxers must decide on a matchup for the eliminator.

The World Boxing Council has mandated that the top contender for the division title be identified, and the specifics of the match are anticipated to be made public by the end of January.

"The WBC therefore orders the beginning of the free negotiating period in accordance with the WBC Rules and Regulations for the featherweight final eliminator between Mark Magsayo and Isaac Dogboe.

The WBC will perform a purse offer on January 31 at the WBC headquarters in Mexico City in accordance with the WBC Purse Offer Procedures if there is no agreement between the parties, according to WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman.

If a deal is made, Dogboe won't fight again until July 2022, when he defeated Joet Gonzalez by split decision.

The WBO featherweight champion Emmanuel Navarette might face Dogboe, a former junior-featherweight champion, if they both win their fights against Robeisy Ramirez and Dogboe.

All of Dogboe's two career losses came to Mexican Navarette.
