Concerned Students Association at the University of Ghana demonstrate against a number of issues

On Friday, the University of Ghana Concerned Students Association peacefully and publicly voiced their unhappiness with the excessive fees, student violence, and housing concerns on campus.

At the Black Star Square in Accra, where a petition was presented to the government, the protest, which had its beginnings near the Obra Spot at the Kwame Interchange, came to a conclusion.

Despite having a stated start time of 7:30 am, the "Yabre Mo Demonstration" began about 10:00 am.

The worried students made their way from the Obra Sport through the Adabraka and Farisco Traffic Lights to the Black Star Square.

Mr. Eugene Boakye Junior, the petition's lead petitioner, brought up concerns of the pupils when presenting the petition to the government through the Education Ministry.

The Ministry of Education's Director of Internal Audit, Mr. Edward Fiawo, promised that the government will respond correctly when he accepted the petition on its behalf.

The worried students urged the school administration to announce a detailed plan to address the myriad problems the University is now experiencing.
