Excerpts from the statement read, "The Hon. Ebenezer Kojo Kum, the Member of Parliament for Ahanta West, has resigned from office, with immediate effect, as Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs. The resignation has been accepted by the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Although Mr. Kojo Kum's resignation was not explained in the statement, his health has not been great lately.
Recall that in 2022, Mr. Ebenezer Kojo Kum, a member of parliament for Ahanta West, experienced a stroke.Despite having a stroke, Kojo Kum is still alive. He is doing great. He got sick around three weeks ago and spent two weeks at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital before recovering and being released.
He is currently recovering at home. To put an end to rumors of his passing, the family's attorney, Joe Mensah, said, "As I speak to you, he can eat, talk, and do everything as planned but he is still healing."
His registration takes the total of departing ministers from the Akufo-Addo administration in less than two months to three.
