The bodies of the ten civilians who were purportedly killed in Bawku by guys who were thought to be military personnel have been given to their families for burial.

According to Joy News, the decision was made following a meeting on Wednesday night involving the security hierarchy, the traditional authorities, and the families.

The families are now eagerly awaiting word from the regional security council on how it plans to bring the deceased to justice after the remains were recently buried in accordance with Islamic norms.

The Upper East Regional Security Council, which has not yet commented on the killings, is scheduled to convene this afternoon to discuss the situation.
