The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has praised its legislators for voting overwhelmingly to confirm President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-nominations Addo's for justice and ministerial positions.
The party also applauded the members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who voted in favor of the nominees.
"Congratulations to our brave Parliamentarians for supporting the Government wholeheartedly and seeing to it that the President's candidates for the Supreme Court and Ministers of State were confirmed! The bold NDC MPs who stood up for #GhanaFirst are also appreciated by the country, the party tweeted.
The nomination of Justices George Kingsley Koomson and Ernest Yao Gaewu for appointment as Justices of the Supreme Court was approved by Parliament on Friday, March 24, through a vote.
