Despite the current economic situation, Ernest Owusu Bempah predicts that the NPP would win in 2024.

Before the national elections in 2024, the New Patriotic (NPP), which is currently in power, is doing well, according to its deputy communications director.

This, according to Ernest Owusu Bempah, is in spite of the nation's present economic difficulties.

He claims that the Akufo-Addo administration has fared better than its predecessor, the previous Mahama administration.

He said that the handling of the Ghanaian economy was excellent prior to the COVID-19 pandemic's onset.

Mr. Owusu Bempah advised Ghanaians to exercise patience with the administration as it tries to overcome the present economic crisis the country is experiencing while speaking to the media on Wednesday, February 15.

"Ghana's economy grew at a 3 percent annual rate under the Mahama government. The fact that it was performing at 8% under the NPP before COVID-19 shows how much better we controlled the economy than the NDC.

He continued, "NPP has been able to steer the nation through the storm, despite the difficulties.

One can imagine that Ghanaians would already be living in utter poverty and unable to afford three square meals a day if Mahama and his NDC were in charge of the nation.

Since the COVID-19 epidemic broke out in 2020, the Ghanaian economy has encountered some significant difficulties.

The current debt level of the nation is GHC 575 billion, or 93.5% of its entire GDP.

Due of this, the government has been forced to contact the IMF in an effort to obtain a $3 billion bailout package.

The contentious debt restructuring program is, nonetheless, a crucial component of the prerequisites for securing the agreement.

The government reported on Tuesday that it had received more than 80% of the vote.
